• A Brief about yourself and how you describe your own Personality and Persona.

I am a nuclear scientist in Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, BARC. I have been awarded the prestigious Homi Bhabha Medal for my scientific work. Apart from publishing journal articles with regards to my scientific field, I have a passion for acting. I have done Diploma in Acting from Anupam Kher’s Film Academy, Mumbai, kodiyettam based navrasa sadhana, National School of Drama, NSD workshops. I have also acted in short films, theatre and advertisements. I love to write. Apart from all this, I take pride in being a mother to an 8-year-old kid and a considerate wife to an amazing husband. I am loyal, determined and very goal driven. I am very optimistic and believe in following one’s heart. Confidence and faith are my key defining characteristics. I am grateful to God every moment of my life for his uncountable gifts.

• Your Achievements that makes you feel high.

I consider being on stage or on set an achievement. Every time my daughter smiles gives me a sense of accomplishment. Working every day, be it as an actor or a scientist or as a mother, gives me a high.

The happiness that shines through your personality, your giving nature that makes other people around you feel secure and comfortable defines how beautiful you are. When you accept yourself completely, your good, your bad, your aura becomes blissful for others. Accepting others as they are makes you gorgeous.

• What is your favorite Idea of Holidaying?

I can go for a holiday anywhere as long as my husband’s eyes are peaceful and smiling and my daughter is laughing. But, beaches or even riversides are my favourite.

• Why you are participating in Mrs India Earth?

• What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?

The divide between rich and poor is even more prominent in COVID times. And children of our country are the worst sufferers.

Believe in yourself and there will come a day when others have no choice but to believe with you. Mufasa, The Lion King.

• What is true “Sportsmanship” for you?

Sportsmanship is a virtue wherein you are dignified and fair in a game or competition irrespective of your win or loss.

• If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?

I would like to contribute towards the upliftment of underprivileged children and teenagers. Especially in the area of education and health of girls. I would like to provide volunteer teachers to impoverished children, a sort of mobile school. I would like to provide facility so that computer-based skills can be taught to these kids. Being tech savvy is important in today’s age. I would strive towards providing food to fight malnutrition. I would like to spread awareness about the sexual health of poor teenage girls.
