Neha Bhagat

  • Srinagar
  • A Brief about yourself and how you describe your own Personality and Persona.
  • I believe I am a confident, kind, helpful & a stubborn woman. I was born & bought up in a place rightly referred to as the Paradise on earth- the beautiful Kashmir Valley. I am a single child & thus you can surely associate the word pampered with me. I did my schooling from an all-girls Convent School & got my B.Tech degree in Chemical Engineering from NIT, Srinagar. This was a life altering transition for me as I landed into an Engineering College, which we all know is a male dominated sector after being in a girl’s school. This was the first time I got to experience both the advantages & a few disadvantages of being a female. After staying with my parents up until in completed my college, I finally flew out of my nest when I got a job in ONGC & my first posting was in the city of dreams- Mumbai. My job turned out to be very lucky for me as I found my better half in my office only. After a little bit of family drama, we got married in 2017 & since then we are trying to enjoy & cherish each & every moment of our lives together.

  • Your Achievements that makes you feel high.
  • Getting a job offer from ONGC, during the last semester of my college. Landing with a job in a National Oil company before even completing my degree is one of my achievement’s which I cherish the most.

  • Your Achievements that makes you feel high.
  • Being kind to people who cannot give you anything in return. I believe if you can be kind, without any ulterior motive, you are the most beautiful person.

  • What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?
  • Love , trust & most importantly friendship among members of a family is what makes a family happy. Always strive to develop friendly terms with your parents , your spouse & your children.

  • What is your favorite Idea of Holidaying?
  • Having a 9-5 job, my favourite word itself is Holidaying , be it anywhere doing anything or nothing at all. But given an option , I would chose a beach location indulging in swimming , snorkelling & other fun activities.

  • Why you are participating in Mrs India Earth?
  • I hate monotony in life. I like to keep getting involved in different projects & take up different challenges, to keep my life interesting. This platform gives me the perfect opportunity, to step out of my comfort zone, challenge myself and learn something new from this new experience.

  • What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?
  • The diminishing value of human life. In India, every day we hear news of people dying in accidents, due to illness or even suicide. No one can forget the innumerable people who lost their lives during Covid pandemic. What bothers me is that nothing is being done about it , infact no one is even bothered to talk or discuss about it.

  • The Quote or saying that encourages you?
  • “Everything gets better in the END, if it isn’t better its not the END yet” This quote keeps me going.

  • What is true “Sportsmanship” for you?
  • Humbleness in victory & scope of improvement in defeat.

  • If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
  • Women empowerment is one area I would like to add value to because its not only limited to the poor uneducated section of the society but it percolates within each & every strata of our society. In areas such as engineering , CEO’s of big MNC’s , politics , science , women are still in minority. I believe that a lot is still to be done in the area of women empowerment so that in future we have more women holding powerful positions & thus bring significant change in our society at large.
