  • A brief about yourself and how you describe your own personality and persona.
  • I am Anshu Puri, married to my soulmate , fulfilled mother of 2 lovely daughters, an IT manager by profession worked across the globe and a reformer by passion. I was born and brought up in a small city Roorkee which is situated on the bank of holy river Ganga. l describe myself as , hydra, struck me into thousand pieces, I’ll regenerate myself to embrace you all in breaking the shackles of prejudices that I have seen the woman, the daughter and mother on the earth live every second. No matter who you are; be a friend or foe, a destitute or affluent being, a warrior of justice or survivor of atrocities, I seek your hands to combat back together and make the earth a beautiful place to live in. I am always the woman on the go, determined to leave encouraging mark on my community. I am a self-made woman and always inspired my locality respecting my family values and commitments. Simultaneously, I have groomed and established myself in corporate world, along with, keeping alive my passion for dance, fashion and love for people.   Although, my work and family keeps me busy but I always take out time to participate and contribute my bit to various social group and charitable organization with in-built capabilities and passion. As a goal oriented and caring woman, looking forward to serve back the society with gained experience and hoping to become voice of distressed woman in larger manner.

  • Your Achievements that makes you feel high.
  • love a very famous quote from Maya Angelou ,America’s most beloved and celebrated poets and authors “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” For me achievement is the ability to touch other live empathetically and impact them positively, make them feel they deserve better, makes me high and elated. It does not matter how big or how small it is. As a self- made woman, I have seen both better and bitter side of the world, changed compelling circumstances to my favor. Time has not changed me or character with its test. Loved dance, and despite all the odd, I have kept my passion alive. That have been inspiration for me to help others to come out of their state of depression or wallowing despair. I make them open up themselves to their degrees of freedom to infinite possibilities. Mentor as a dancer and boosting the confidence of the dejected women to come out of their state of depression or wallowing despair. Created awareness for greens earth and rethink plastics through dance events has been fulfilling me beyond my imagination. looking myself at a place, becoming enabler of someone’s happiness, is definition of my achievements and blessed to have such treasure I have earned so far and keep me fulfilling and inspire to achieve more.

  • Define the true beauty.
  • The manifestation of true beauty is the wholehearted acceptance of the self. It is the radiance of your spirit, the strength of your character and the choice of the compassionate heart that stand the test of time. This is the strength and conviction to know that with or without makeup the real beauty is you.

  • What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?
  • For me the family, does not restrict to only parents, kids and spouse. It has far more extended definition. The foundation of Indian family value system rests on the core principle of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”(the whole world is family). A complete, healthy and happy family to me is to become the conduit of universal love, to be in perfect harmony with my immediate family members and with the vast family outside.

  • What is your favorite Idea of Holidaying?
  • My Idea of perfect holidaying should be a break from the cacophonous busy metro life and a stay at the calm serene rural sight where people speak and dance with the tune of nature. I would love to live and work with them, understand and be a part of them, recharge my spirit and soul fully before I get back to my usual routine.

  • Why you are participating in Mrs India Earth?
  • I am willing to join this pageant, to gain and share experience around diversity and to reach out to all woman, to encourage them and pass message of “DREAM” and “Never give up.” I feel, The person who never give up will stand forever and I have firm believe, whatever u aspire of, u should dream of. I have been always passionate about reaching out to new people. And I choose this platform to be voice of my community. This is an amazing place to interact with other inspiring personality those who are from different walk of life representing different people, thoughts and visions. Glamour and fashion is one part but a pageant title has much more to do with shaping and polishing the human sensibility and helping to reach out the masses in need.

  • What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?
  • ndia is the home of 1/7th of world population with diversified faith, culture and ethnicity. The soul of the nation lies in its diversity, in its people and societies, in their strength to accept and integrate each other. Being a home of world’s largest democracy with billion population, it is often a tedious task to reach out to the needy and targeted mass. That opens up to corruption, nepotism and lack of access to basic human necessities. A foolproof transparent system may take some time, however the health care for women in India requires an immediate attention. In general, woman in India, in every form, sacrifices her life for the common interest of the family and often remains in self-denial even towards her own health. In India, the women breast cancer survival rate is horrifyingly low. Almost every second woman diagnosed with breast cancer one dies off without adequate care and attention. This is unfortunate that, many shy away and do not open up their mouths till the cancer reaches the irreversible metastasis stage. Women in India holds a pivotal role in building the nation. The pressing need of the time is to raise an awareness campaign and provide adequate support to the women for early diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

  • The quote or saying that encourages you.
  • “We live in deeds, not years; in thoughts, not breaths; In feelings, not in figures on a dial. We should count time by heart-throbs. He most lives Who thinks most—feels the noblest—acts the best.” Life is too short and beautiful. A wonderful journey of mutual caring, sharing and togetherness. A meaningful life cannot be lived in isolation. Unless your voices get echoed in others mind and their thoughts create a ripple in your heart, you remain disconnected and anonymous to the earth. You remain stranger even to your own self, and life becomes less or more like a machine, a non-living entity.

  • What is true “Sportsmanship” for you?
  • True sportsmanship is perpetually exploring your mistakes and failures, working on your own strength, learning from your opponents and growing with them. This is an unstoppable passion to raise your own bar of excellence, strive towards it with your heart and soul - if you win, you made it, if you loose you learnt something out of it

  • If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
  • We are living in a difficult time. Mother Earth is slowly loosing its ecological balance and at the face of human greed, we are witnessing incredible loss of natural resource and myriad environmental challenges from Climate change to air and water crisis. Sooner or later, Mother Earth may find it difficult to feed and sustain her creation. Though ecologists are working relentlessly towards a solution, awareness at the grassroots level can only do the miracles, and I am looking forward to promote and foster a culture of citizen scientists and be enabler for public and make the imbibe the spirit to protect Mother Earth
