Dr Aparna Pandya

  • Kerala
  • A Brief about yourself and how you describe your own personality and persona.
  • I am Dr Aparna Pandya. I am wife, a mother and a periodontist. I am combination of introvert and extrovert. As much as I love to hang around with family and friends, I love some alone time with myself in a day. What I love the most about me is I take life one day at a time. I am a dentist (Periodontist), A large part of my day is spent treating my patients and educating them and thus my persona is of someone that enjoys bringing smiles on the faces of people around me .

  • Your Achievements that makes you feel high.
  • I am a passionate teacher. I feel enormously at bliss when I impart knowledge; Be it to the junior doctors and interns, or when I write articles in magazines, or when I do talk shows or when I make educational you tube videos. I feel the greatest pleasure is felt when you enlighten someone with the gift of insight and that makes you feel like a true achiever.

  • Define the true beauty.
  • Beauty to me is a trait which captivates your eyes and soul both at the same time. Just as is rightly said –“ A handsome is what a handsome does”; the same way it’s the work you do that defines you more than the external yourself.

  • What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?
  • A complete, healthy and happy family to me is a recipe of adequate trust and some patience mixed in lots of love but unlike in cooking where the is only one chef ; here each member of the family is a chef for the making of the most delicious family. And trust me this recipe tastes the same everytime- just perfect!

  • What is your favorite Idea of Holidaying?
  • Anywhere on the face of the earth with time quality time spent with my husband and beautiful daughter.

  • Why you are participating in Mrs India Earth?
  • I have a dream, a goal, a mission- gifting smiles to humanity…There is a vision in my life that is greater than my imagination.I want to reach out to the farthest of far and spread smiles through awareness, prevention and intervention .That’s the purpose of my life. Over time I realized to make a change in the world and reach billions you have to make your voice be heard. What better platform than Mrs India Earth to reach out to the farthest of far

  • What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?
  • There are many things of concern in India today like-the greenhouse effect, population surge, poverty, and the constant battle for political supremacy. But I believe there has never been a better time to be alive than today. Life has never been so easy. Everything is at our finger tips. The thing that bothers me the most is that we are all in this constant search of problems to solve. Lets all just take one moment and appreciate just any one good thing in our life and feel blessed. Then turn around and do one good thing for another human. And trust me the next thing you will see is a better world around you.

  • The Quote or saying that encourages you?
  • My mother always used to tell this to me “Karmanye Vadhikaraste, Ma phaleshou kada chana” This verse is from the Bhagawad Gita, where Arjuna was not willing to fight the Epic war of Mahabharat and Krishna explains to him to perform his duties . My mother used to tell me never think about the results just do what you have to do. Results are not in our hands.

  • What is true “Sportsmanship” for you?
  • True sportsmanship to me is realizing you may win or you may lose but any which ways you learn something . And that knowledge no one can take away from you. As it is rightly said “ the true joy is in the journey and not in the destination.”

  • If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
  • First of all I would feel priviledged to be the charity ambassador. today charity is more common than ever. But whats lacking is the knowledge and guidance to the less fortunate to create oppurtunities. A one time charity will make their life better but in addition if we give the knowledge and guidance through awareness programs…lives will change, lifestyle will change, India will change.
