Archana Sundareshan

  • Bangalore
  • A Brief about yourself and how you describe your own Personality and Persona.
  • • Technologist by profession • Writer and Photographer by passion • Yoga Teacher by conscious choice • English Teacher to underprivileged girls from Rural parts of India by inspiration • Mother to a tenacious daughter and an endearing furry canine son (a golden retriever puppy) …and a Traveler at heart making every journey of life count and a Seeker at soul uncovering more of me every day. Currently I am living with my loving family in Bangalore.

  • Your Achievements that makes you feel high.
  • In 2014, I was at an intimidating crossroad of my life. My employer at the time decided to exit the business that came in heavily on us, as my husband was in same business group and we were both impacted by the shutdown. Less had I imagined that this stardom in career I had built for 14 years could be deemed into star dust infused by the business dynamics! I rebuilt everything from scratch to get here. Life many times is about second changes and about redeeming yourself. I realized I could rise taller after a sky fall fearlessly.

  • Define the true beauty.
  • True beauty is embodiment of empathy, humility, service and gratitude not only towards fellow humans but every form of life and matter on earth. It is also about celebration of life in every season, ability to sail through life in sportsmanship spirit being passionately involved every moment and courage to stand tall after every fall.

  • What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?
  • As social beings, family for many has become raison d’etre(reason for being). There are all kinds of families in this world and more than family being complete, it is the feeling of completeness that family evokes, draws us closer to find each other. Family significance is rightfully quoted: “when the snows fall and white wind blows, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives”. My family for me is like music to lyrics, taste to food, fitness to body, smile to face, wind beneath my wings, my armor in all my battles and the one I always come home to.

  • What is your favorite Idea of Holidaying?
  • My travels to 26 countries so far have been the most valuable investment I have made in my life. What started off as a holiday morphed into a cause I strive for and a lifestyle I promote via my website www.somedaynomadic.com. Travels has uncovered the prolific writer, award-winning photographer, a Himalayan hiker in me and recently added a book to my name. It has made me experience the quintessence of life, be empathetic, positive, fearless and pushed to pursue Yoga teacher certification. Every holiday, I returned so enriched and evolved that it changed my perspective orthogonally to see travel as an investment than expenditure.

  • Why you are participating in Mrs India Earth?
  • The causes I rise to strive every day are • Bringing to life technology products that will obliterate time and space thereby creating a level playing world with equal opportunities for all • Promote travel integrated lifestyle to fearlessly transcend humanmade boundaries and embracing universal camaraderie • Raise awareness on holistic well-being inspired by Yogic wisdom. • Educating the underprivileged Mrs India Earth gives me an elevated platform to continue striving for the causes I believe in and also amplify my contributions partnering with HCWA. The outreach and impact possible via Mrs India Earth are underpinning in evoking a sense of purpose to life.

  • What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?
  • The world raging pandemic has severely impacted a vast section of the society. Devastation has struck many families rendering them emotionally bruised and financially impaired. We have a responsibility in aiding the nation to crawl back from a precipice of health emergency. Also, we have an opportunity at hand to reimage a post pandemic nation with thriving compassion and empathy not just for fellow humans but every form of life on this blue planet. A sovereign of prime movers who join hands in building of a great nation that is true to its emblem exuding pride, confidence, power, and courage.

  • The Quote or saying that encourages you?
  • It’s from Game theory: “If life were a game and the world its playground, the strategy for you as a player is to make every move not to counter the other player's move but every step mindfully taking you towards the way you want to end the game. By this strategy you are not reacting to events in life but responding consciously thereby in the larger context, every action of yours is taking you closer to your ultimate purpose”

  • What is true “Sportsmanship” for you?
  • Sportsmanship is a life skill that can get us to sail through a rough sea with undying grit and stay grounded at a moonshot. An awe-inspiring quality to be a “romantic” (being passionately involved) and a “recluse” (being untouched by eventualities) at the same time. Most importantly sportsmanship is also about being a finisher, a virtue I hold in high regard.

  • If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
  • I dream of a planet where every human has access to education and have equal opportunities for growth. An empowered society is where everyone can live a life of choice and fulfil their dreams. The teacher within me is living this reality today by teaching underprivileged girls from rural parts of India, from the comfort of my living room enabled by technologies I engineered with fellow engineers around the world. I will be honored, humbled, and privileged to take on the responsibility of a Charity Ambassador to further the outreach of my effort leveraging the Mrs India Earth platform.
