- A Brief about yourself and how you describe your own Personality and Persona.
I am a spiritual and conscientious person who believes in humanity and strives to contribute to make this world a more beautiful space . I have put in years of honest and passionate hard work into women's health as a doctor , a field that I am dedicated to and truly love . Travelling around the world shaped my persona and made me discover that human beings can be so different yet so similar inside . I have faith that eventually love and compassion conquers all and this is what the world needs today . I endorse the power of gratitude and trust the journey I am destined to travel in this lifetime .
- Your Achievements that makes you feel high.
What gives me a high in my professional journey is the ability to “create life “ in collaboration with nature and science and to bring unlimited joy to someone yearning for motherhood . Working in the fascinating field of In- Vitro fertilization for over a decade gave me precious blessed opportunity to help couples achieve parenthood . This has brought me immense satisfaction . In my personal journey , bringing up two beautiful children into responsible adults is the highest form of fulfillment a mother can achieve . All other accolades such the title of “ Best Physician in UAE ” , Publishing a text book of reproductive medicine, being awarded with Fellowship of Royal College are secondary in importance .
- Define the true beauty.
To me someone truly beautiful is a grounded real person with a positive attitude which lifts people , a compassionate heart which heals others and the confidence and belief in oneself . Thankfully , these attributes of beauty never wrinkle or fade or wither with age . They only grow more beautiful with time .
- What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?
A complete healthy happy family is built on the strong foundation of free communication , respect and unconditional love . I do not believe in gender roles in a modern family as men and women are capable of both roles and its interchangeable . A healthy family allows sharing both negative and positive emotions without judgement and faces any crisis with resilience and togetherness . Its something you long to come back to after a hard day and has all the ingredients to provide the warmth to the soul and mind .
- What is your favorite Idea of Holidaying?
Though I love family and friend holidays , my favorite idea of holidaying is a solo travel to a new destination preferably close to nature , exploring the unknown and discovering your inner self as you move on . It gives great confidence and courage to your inner persona as you are fully incharge of everything including your own happiness without dependence . It is a truly rewarding experience and can teach you amazing lessons on solitude , life , love and the wonderful planet we share . I feel everyone must do this at least once to understand this liberating , free spirited and life changing experience
- Why you are participating in Mrs India Earth?
I am attempting to find a new “Me” and to discover and unmask some hidden facets of my own personality . Its something I have never done before and I am excited to fill my life with this new possibility . I believe firmly in embracing experiences and precious moments which make you “grow” on the inside and” glow” on the outside . Magical journeys like these shape you into the human being that you finally become . I am hoping for a fulfilling experience through this journey .
- What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?
“Women’s safety” bothers me most in the country today . It is so unfortunate that India ranked 9 th in the Forbes list of most dangerous places for women travellers in 2019 . It’s a shame that while a woman is treated as a mythological Goddess , she doesn’t have the right to basic respect and dignity in my country Currently, India also has poor ranking in gender equality and gender gap . Justice delayed is justice denied and this must be addressed urgently to being back the honor and decorum to our women .
- The Quote or saying that encourages you?
The quote which has always helped me in my darkest hours and lowest phases of life is “ Never Never Never give up “. By Winston Churchill . I have faith in the supreme power and destiny . The teachings of Gita that “ Do your Karma and do not worry about the result “ have always taken me forward . Life is a challenge and anything worthwhile needs dedication and sacrifice but having the attitude of “never giving up “ takes you closer to your goals .
- What is true “Sportsmanship” for you?
Sportsmanship to me is to have a strong character and integrity when you are on the field to compete . It means displaying humility in your victory and gracefulness in your loss . It also encompasses being a team player and being honest to your game giving it all dedication . skill and determination . Last but not the least , a good sportsman must fully cherish the game and the moment as in life itself ..the journey is more important than the destination !
- If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
The fields I would be able to make a real difference are education especially for girls , strengthening women in the society and the health sector . I strongly feel education is every child’s right and no child should be deprived of this . Education opens the doors of development , progress and education .I would want to get involved in sponsoring deserving students for higher education . I would want to enroll women in learning skills for economic independence since that’s the most effective step for women empowerment . Being a health provider , I would contribute generously to holding health camps , free fertility camps and raising health awareness on various issues in the society at regular intervals .
