Health is the ability of individuals to adapt and self-manage when facing physical, mental, psychological and social changes with environment. So health is not only being healthy at the present situation but it is the ability to withstand stress, be it mental or physical. Our body considers any change as a stress.



‘We are, what we eat’.

For centuries food has been the basic necessity for survival.  

Healthy food is need of the day. We hear eat healthy, nutritious, clean, proper diet. What does all that really mean? Why do we eat? To get reenergized. If your meals are not making you feel this way, then you are not eating right.

75% of people around the world are LACTASE intolerant (milk protein digesting enzyme) still we consider drinking milk necessary. 25% people around world are gluten intolerant, still wheat remains a staple diet worldwide. Eating food that we can’t digest properly causes malabsorption and so even if you think you eat healthy you don’t feel healthy. You cannot attain your goals regarding your weight.

Avoid processed food, ready to eat mix, two minute meals etc. Burgers, pizzas, cola, sugars, alcohol all fall under slow poisons. We can live and look better without them.

Our meal plate should look like

I follow a block meal diet which includes 30% calories from fats, 30% from proteins and 40% from carbohydrates. People avoid fats in diet, but fats is an essential macronutrient, we should look at good fats, from almonds, cashews, olives, peanut, peanut butter, etc.

Indian or East Asian diet is much superior as it contains food prepared from scratch and not processed food. The only problem in Indian diet is, we eat a lot of carbs. If we correct that and eat right amount of proteins and fats, result is glowing skin and amazingly healthy body.

Supplements- they are supplementing us where it falls short. No need of unnecessary supps if our diet is wholesome and lab tests show normal vitamin levels.


We hate people who take us for granted, but we take our bodies for granted. We must subject our bodies to regular physical stress, so we grow strong to sustain.

Being lean is not fit. There are ten recognized general fitness skills. They are cardiovascular/ respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy. You are as fit as you are competent in each of these ten skills.

We must do a combination of exercises. A day of Pilates, a day of swimming, running, and 3 days a week of weight lifting exercises. The day you feel that exercise is going easy, push yourself. Do that extra squat, do that extra pull up. No one form of exercise is complete on its own.

Having muscles, lessens the chances of you to fall, you have good coordination, protects from osteoporosis and most importantly you look good.

So ladies get your beautiful self to gym and squat!


Stress reduction by means of yoga, meditation or a daily routine of your choice. Stress is the root cause of many problems. We age faster, it leads to some or the other forms of pain and causes hormonal imbalance.

A healthy life with minimum stress involves

-Healthy work life/professional life- life with purpose

-Healthy relationships/ close knit family with strong ties

-Spiritual health

-Creativity in life

-Healthy sex life

-Economic stability

If above are taken care of we can have a stress free healthy life. So to diagnose yourself if we have stress, ask above questions and then resolve the shortcomings.
