- A Brief about yourself and how you describe your own Personality and Persona.
A person has to wear many hats in a lifetime, as each relationship and each stage of life demands a different personality. I am a flexible person who easily adapts to the changes. As an independent woman having liberal values, I give the greatest importance to humanity. As a marketer by profession, I encourage right presentation and conviction while wearing each of these hats. Being born in a small town of Bihar and having lived in all the metros, I have learned that life is a serious affair, but it should be lived with a great sense of humour. Family comes first to me and children make me the happiest. I am a nature lover, and travelling to new places is nirvana for me. Integrity and Loyalty are my relationship goals.
- Your Achievements that makes you feel high.
Achievements, big or small make us feel good and take us high. I have received rewards and recognitions in dance, debate, sports when in school. Promotions and a pat on the back for professional achievements too. But my biggest achievement is that my parents feel blessed to have me. In a society where inter caste and love marriages are not easily accepted, I could change people’s perception and married the man I loved. The most beautiful accomplishment is my baby girl and the fact that I am able to raise her with the same values and principles that I was brought up with. When I see her smiling most of the time, I feel accomplished. Feel very proud when I see my 3 year old saying ‘Welcome’ after every ‘Thank you’. And now what takes me high is that I am writing about myself as a finalist of Mrs. India Earth.
- Define the true beauty.
I must be the one among the millions who say that ‘Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder’. There is nothing as true beauty or a false beauty. Everyone has one’s own definition of beauty. To me it is a combination of a strong character & a selfless heart. The courage to accept one’s own flaws and the ability to appreciate others. Beautiful people are compassionate. They always try to build up their surroundings. A woman’s strength, dignity and confidence define beauty.
- What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?
There isn’t a universal theory for a happy family. Every family has a set of values, culture and tradition that binds its members. A healthy and happy family for me is where all the members of the family laugh together and even cry together. Where every little joy is celebrated. Where there is mutual understanding and the members believe in each other. Where children are given time, youngsters are given their space and elders are given respect.
- What is your favourite Idea of Holidaying?
As I have quoted earlier, for me travelling and visiting new places is like attaining Nirvana. Every holiday is a perfect holiday for me as long as it allows me to connect with nature and people. My favourite Idea of holidaying is going to a culturally rich land with my family, living their life and learning about their people, flora and fauna, culture, music & food.
- Why you are participating in Mrs India Earth?
Before answering ‘Why Mrs. India Earth’, I would like to answer, why at all I am participating in a pageant. It is because, it is a platform that gives visibility on a larger scale, a platform to showcase what we are as a person, a platform that helps building people network, a platform that gives an opportunity to do something for the society, for the country. And at last, a platform that make us believe in our own capabilities. I specifically chose Mrs. India Earth for participation because this pageant is associated with the betterment of our environment, for saving our planet ‘Earth’ and for helping the not so privileged ones.
- What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?
A lot of things are happening in our country today. Without any doubt it is advancing economically and technologically, but what bothers me most about not only my country, but the world and this planet, is the environment degradation. All the life changing developments are happening at the cost of our wellbeing. Off late we see in the news about the plight of our farmers. They are largely dependent on timely rainfall for harvest and subsequent profits. Gradual onset of global warming and climate changes are affecting the rainfall and subsequently their production. What is the value of any technological development if our future generation is not even able to breathe in fresh air, drink pure water and eat healthy food? They need to remain healthy physically and mentally for appreciating and enjoying the benefits. It is high time we start conserving for our kids to live a healthy and happy life.
- The Quote or saying that encourages you?
‘Chal Beta Selfie Le Le Re’, no I am not a Salman Khan fan. But music hits my soul. Almost all of us would start dancing with joy listening to this song. It has got happy vibes. But these words have a deep meaning if one can decipher. This age is a selfie age, thanks to all the smart phones. People taking a selfie keep trying and changing their poses and expressions until they strike the perfect pose. Life should be lived like that. We should keep trying until we meet our own expectations in the first place. No matter how we feel, we should get up, show up and never give up.
- What is true “Sportsmanship†for you?
According to me true sportsmanship is to understand and accept that we are in a game and we are as good as our opponent. Winning and losing is its essence. One wins only because the other one looses. Both are equally important and valuable. Whether we win or we loose, we must play with integrity and to our full capacity.
- If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
As an ambassador, I will do my best to keep up the vision of the organization I am working with. The first step towards any human development is education. I will educate more and more people about how important it is to take care of ourselves as well as of our surroundings. The planet is suffering because of global warming and we have to quickly start acting on it. I will help people and society in making our planet greener and safer.
