Finalist Detail 2018

Mrs. A Singh

  • Delhi
  • A Brief about yourself and how you describe your own Personality and Persona.
  • A queen to my parents, wife of an Infantry officer, best friend to my doting twelve year daughter, a humane in its true sense, Principal of an International school by profession (completing my doctorate in human resource), a blogger by choice, dancing and singing my all time passion and a proud daughter of my country-That’s what describes me the best.

I believe in sophistication and perfection but at the same time simplicity of heart is what attracts me the most. I am an ambitious individual yet grounded at the same time. I put my heart and soul into whatever I do and aim at perfection. I firmly believe in the beauty of my dreams. I wear my scars as my medals gifted by Almighty as its finally my experience in life both good and bad that has made me the Person I am today and it personally makes me feel proud of my journey of this valuable a life!

  • Your Achievements that makes you feel high.
  • Achievement being a matter of perception can be gauged in the realms of tangible and intangible parameters. I professionally, enjoyed my profile as a Professor in a college and presently a Principal in an International school after completing my academic qualifications (B.B.A, M.B.A, C.R.M, B.ed, persuing PhD in human resource) are few of my tangible achievements.

Being chosen amongst the top finalists for Mrs. India Earth is a matter of pride for me and a big achievement, someone I always wanted to be!!

Notwithstanding, being honest, humane, responsible and patriotic citizen of my country are values very close to my heart and I consider them as big achievements. None of my achievements have ever made me feel high, rather every achievement and success made me much more grounded, humble and definitely more composed and passionate towards my ultimate goals.

Yes, I take pride in all my achievements in different spheres of life but to conclude for me it’s still a long way to go and a lot more to achieve…miles to go before I sleep.

  • Define the true beauty.
  • The saying that ‘Beauty is skin deep’ is so true!  Beauty is being oneself unapologetically. One needs to be comfortable in her perfect imperfections as that‘s what a Beautiful woman is all about. It’s an ultra combination of beautiful mind, body and soul. A forgiving heart and a peaceful soul is what a perfect beauty is all about. Being born as a female was a matter of chance but being a woman truly beautiful is a matter of choice. One really needs to work hard on her actions, make others feel beautiful and confident about themselves in her presence and that is what defines holistic beauty. True beauty reflects in all our actions and shines through. So just ‘Be you’ and you will be beautiful inside out!!

  • What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?
  • Love and mutual respect is two most important ingredients for a happy healthy family. For me, a complete family is the one which includes faith and gratitude in its equation. Once you build the family on the above mentioned values, you undoubtedly create a healthy and happy atmosphere for your loved ones to grow; you are able to nourish your children well.

A healthy family pays attention to not only the physical ailments but mental and emotional distress too. Recognizing the importance of keeping and energetic body as well as an engaged mind is the key to overall wellness. A happy family is one which has compassion for everyone, free flow of communication, resilience to face challenges and a support system to uplift each other. Everyone is grateful for each other, corrects each other’s mistakes and works through the differences .A happy family is full of love and laughter.

  • What is your favorite Idea of Holidaying?
  • Times create memories. I am someone who enjoys small little gifts of nature, a holiday in solitude close to nature or with the ones whom I love- For me that’s the perfect idea of holidaying. With the ever growing busyness in day today’s life, it’s very important to spend some good quality time away from the regular chaos. Holidaying is a way to vent out all your stress and bring back that spark back to your life as a couple.

Visiting your hometown is again a very beautiful idea of holidaying as t brings back the old childhood memories and you feel more connected to your roots, your own people and thus feel refreshed thereafter. It also makes you aware of the varied cultures existing across and learning different cultures and imbibing them is a great art. It makes one more flexible and aware of life beyond city life!

  • Why you are participating in Mrs. India Earth ?
  • I am honored, privileged, excited and all the more motivated to participate in Mrs. India Earth Pageant since it’s not a regular beauty pageant that we come across rather it’s a “Pageant with a Purpose”.

I feel that I posses those required qualities that qualify me as a role model for ‘The Women’ in general of our society. I am already adding my bit to it by working for Army welfare societies and being connected with Ngo’s, this pageant will definitely add magnitude to my voice and would reach a larger crowd of the society which I always wished for.

It was always my dream to make a difference in people’s life and overall society by contributing majorly in educating the underprivileged children and women of the society. The organizers, HCWA is doing a commendable job in these two fields, kudos to them!!I will be an honored to be a part of HCWA and be in direct association with them to fulfill this noble a cause. I will be using this platform and would try to make difference in millions of lives. There is no looking back after as I am all geared up to do the best possible for my country and even represent our Proud India on International stage.

  • What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?
  • Being an Indian brings that sparkle in my eyes! I am privileged to enjoy all the freedom and comforts of life that I am blessed with .But there is the other side of the story too. There are a few aspects of life in our country that always disturbs me from within; the foremost is the safety and security of the women and children of our country. I still fear to go out during late hours if required, being mother to  a daughter my heart starts pumping million a beats the moment she gets a little late from the park, I still at times hesitate in wearing the clothes I love to wear !

Our country is progressing at a phenomenal pace but I feel that women education is one such aspect that needs our attention so for me this is the second most important aspect that bothers me “Women Literacy”. There are definitely other areas which need attention at the earliest like child labor, child abuse, and female feticide!!Who can change all this if not we?

  • The Quote or saying that encourages you?
  • A river cuts through a rock, not because of its power but its persistence” so let’s be like a river and show our power by being persistent in our aim. Trust me; any dream is achievable if you are persistently working towards it.

  • What is true “Sportsmanship” for you?
  • Success and failures are an imperative part of our lives. To be able to take a fair win unpretentiously and at the same time accept defeat courageously with grace is what sportsmanship means to me. In my opinion, a true sportsman spirit helps me to not let the achievement make me complacent as well as bounce back from the loss swiftly.

“The harder you fall the higher you bounce”.

I also want to enjoy the process as much as the outcome. I, of course possess a healthy dose of competitive spirit and that does mean that I aim for the top place. However, if in the process, I fail to learn from my fellow competitors and mentors, I take it as a personal failure, regardless of how the event concludes. My respect for my fellow competitors and mentors equals my will to win!!

  • If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
  • If I were selected as a Charity Ambassador, I would work for the education of the underprivileged children-the cause closest to my heart.

Being a part of the Education Industry last 14 years , I truly understand the importance of child education and thus will try to be more vocal and expressive in my actions so that more and more young children are educated”Padhega India tabhi toh Badhega India”.

Charity begins at home; I personally have taken the responsibility to educated two young daughters of my helper.

As a Charity Ambassador ,I shall come up with certain well defined strategies and plans in creating a big canvas to publicize the mission of our process, thereby finding opportunities to get more support both morally and financially. Belonging to the Army fraternity and at the same time occupying leadership profile in the Industry, I will utilize all the channels possible to make sure that our mission receives maximum recognition, popularity and success.
