Finalist Detail 2018

Mrs. J V Tandan

  • Sanpada
  • A Brief about yourself and how you describe your own Personality and Persona.
  • I am Traditional yet Modern, paradoxical! I am Traditional insofar my values are concerned, Simplicity, Truthful and Value for money. Modern from perspective of my attitude, ambition, and hunger to make friends. The blend makes me very unique in this fast-paced world, where people are chasing dreams and willing to sacrifice values. People who meet me once, with ulterior motives can find me upfront and seldom shrewd and people who know me would exactly know the rationale behind my move. I am the one who cares and can make a difference.

  • Your Achievements that makes you feel high.
  • In my life there have been few instances (achievements) which I am very proud of, the first which comes to my mind which is directly related to my passion, dancing, Saroj Khan appreciating my performance it clearly stands out. Secondly, the various modelling shoots done with my girlfriends ‘the trio’ is the memory which I cherish till date, immediately followed by my induction into Jet airways as cabin crew, came as a surprise to me as well given the lack of preparedness. However, the defining moment is my support to my husband during our initial years of marriage where he was studying and had to manage household, with very limited resources, I enjoyed every bit without any reservations.

  • Define the true beauty.
  • True beauty to me is being someone who is real and truthful even in situations where the outcome may be challenged and impact may be adverse, ‘the inner beauty’. Values are more important than opportunities on hand, I believe with right values the opportunities will surface, albeit, maybe delayed. However, embracing opportunities with compromising on values may lead immediate benefit but in long run may catch you out. Further, True beauty is also to do with richness, not in wealth but attitude, the way one conducts herself defines beauty, whether be it social cause or living by integrity or doingthe right thing!

  • What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?
  • We must acknowledge every individual whether son/daughter or husband or parents or brother/sisters are unique and different, in thoughts, in actions or otherwise. The immediate family, is one where we take efforts to have a congruence in our goals and objectives so we all are complete. The state of mind defines happiness, challenges are ubiquitous, what is important is how you act, do the right thing, as an individual and make adversities into opportunities. The above two attributes of congruence and actions can lead to a healthy mind, overlay it with ‘eating right’ would make you feel healthy!

  • What is your favorite Idea of Holidaying?
  • Perfect holidaying is being close to nature and away from the plastic world, being with people who believe in you and share the same thoughts and temperament. The luxuries of the world don’t matter much.

  • Why you are participating in Mrs. India Earth ?
  • I have always believed I have the potential of being a woman of substance, who can participate and lead my country in the global pageant, however, my conservative family would never let me do. My Husband, saw the spark in me recently, given boys are now grow up, and has taken the effort to unravel my dreams. I believe this is a stepping stone in my life to bigger opportunities which I am bestowed for!

  • What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?
  • I believe as a country in recent years there have been significant progress, in rural electrification, infrastructure in general and cleanliness. The Corruption over the years have reduced, however, we now need to focus on literacy.People should be encouraged and government should provide subsidy/incentive to all those who educate themselves to a level where they earn for their living either with or without Government support. Better education will dovetail itself into not only livelihood but treating people like humans and embracing the basic etiquettes of dealing with individuals/situations. If all can be educated and act in a manner which is human, we will have a world which is a better place and free from crime.

  • The Quote or saying that encourages you?
  • Start where you are, Use what you have and Do what you can’. Mostly we come across people who spend lot of their time analysing past life on what went wrong and why did it happen, the above quote means a lot as nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.

  • What is true “Sportsmanship” for you?
  • True Sportsmanship to me is all about mental endurance in this fast pace world. Further, appreciating skills in others and at the same time learning from other successes, which in situations could mean my failure, is the other lens in which I would define true sportsmanship.

  • If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
  • I have always felt very special for Senior citizens as they go through the cycle of life and family and relatives very often start to disown them at a point where they need the most of their time and support. The medical condition further exacerbates the whole situation.
If Chosen an ambassador I would personally spend more time with Senior citizens at old age home and also aid to improve their medical condition. I would encourage and urge today’s youth to visit the old age home very often and spend time with seniors, it may lead to enriching experience of the todays youth and enlighten the Seniors of the recent events, technological advancements, geo political situations, etc.
