Finalist Detail 2018

Mrs. S Kulshrestha

  • Greater Noida
  • A Brief about yourself and how you describe your own Personality and Persona.
  • I am a woman of the 21st century, independent in my financial ability and in my intellectual pursuits. I believe wholeheartedly in healthy living and positive thinking. This is my mantra of life, for me and my family as well.

I am a certified fitness instructor, training people and motivating them to adapt a healthy lifestyle. I am also a trained classical dancer and that is my stress buster too. I have a small family, which includes my husband and my 10 year old daughter. They are the steel in my spine, and my biggest critics as well. It’s because of them I am a part of this big event Mrs. India Earth.

  • Your Achievements that makes you feel high.
  • I consider every moment given to us as a chance to shine, to do things differently, to think anew, and hopefully, bring a smiles on the faces of people we meet. Life well lived is an achievement in itself. However, if I have to single out one event, I will consider my recent Gold Medal win at Yoga Guru International summit in New Delhi as the moment which gave me a special high.

Also, when my students come with a note of appreciation, telling me how confident and good they feel when they look at their healthier self, I feel an emotional high.

  • Define the true beauty.
  • I believe true beauty lies deep within you. A healthy body, a positive mind, a pure soul and sweet tongue makes a person beautiful, irrespective of colour, creed or age.

  • What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?
  • A complete healthy and happy family is a safe space to come home to, where there is unconditional love, warmth and acceptance. A place where one has the freedom to share all the ideas, thoughts, fears and apprehensions, without the fear of being judged negatively. Members of a happy family care for each other’s well-being and healthy lifestyle. Place where each one receives the due respect and affection.

  • What is your favorite Idea of Holidaying?
  • Somehow, the idea of holidaying always brings me to beautiful white sand beaches, with clear blue waters and friendly nariyal paani walaas! I love water sports and sea food. I love lazing around on a beach for hours, with the laughter of my loved ones ringing clear in my ears.

  • Why you are participating in Mrs. India Earth ?
  • As every other Indian citizen, I too have a desire to contribute to betterment of my nation. Also being a part of a beauty pageant has always been my dream.

Mrs. India Earth is a celebration of beauty with responsibility. It gives me chance to make a difference with social causes it endorses. This way the Mrs. India Earth pageant brings my desire and dream together.

  • What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?
  • As one of the most ancient nations in the world, India has always celebrated diversity and tolerance. India has always given a safe haven for all sorts of people suffering prosecution. Acceptance and affection is the basic characteristic of my nation. But, today I see the growing specter of intolerance that is threatening to change the very idea of Indian-ness. The society is showing cracks along the fault lines of caste, creed, language and economic ability.

I dearly wish to pass on the same loving and affectionate nation to my child that I inherited from my ancestors. This changing nature of our society today worries me the most.

  • The Quote or saying that encourages you?
  • Do unto others what you would have them do unto you.

  • What is true “Sportsmanship” for you?
  • To me true sportsmanship means giving my utmost best shot at everything I pursue, without being effected by the outcome.

  • If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
  • I feel the most precious gift one can give to someone in suffering and need is love and acceptance. If I was chosen to be the Charity Ambassador, I shall do my best to make the weakest in the society feel accepted and heard. I shall give them a chance to tell their tales and I will use my position to amplify their voices.
