Mrs. I Manglam

  • Rampur (U.P)
  • A Brief about yourself and how you describe your own Personality and Persona.
  • I am a simple woman and I’m obsessed for my family. I was born and brought up amidst the tigers, near the Corbett National Park, educated in the valley of Dehradun and married in the city of nawabs "Rampur". Through my entire life I have been confident and honest to myself and to others. I am strict follower of pink, be it my room, clothes or any trivial thing associated with me. Pink defines me and encourages me. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. My belief that tomorrow is another day keeps me strong in the toughest times. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls and laughing is the best calorie burner.

  • Your Achievements that makes you feel high
  • I think small and consistent contributions that make a difference are the biggest achievements for any individual. I believe I have converted my house into home. I spend most of my time nurturing my daughter, for which I believe I have attained much success till now. The most beautiful that I have achieved is the love, trust and understanding from my husband, he has full confidence in me and believes me in all the endeavors of life. I have constantly lived a happy and healthy lifestyle while also enjoying the burgers and pizzas of life.

  • Define the true beauty.
  • No matter how educated, talented, rich, or cool you believe you are, how you treat all sorts of people ultimately reflects you. True beauty of any person is reflected by how he treats people lower to him. For me true beauty does not only mean outer beauty. The moral values and beliefs define the true beauty of a person. A person is defined by his character. A confident personality itself oozes of beauty and charisma.

  • What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?
  • A family that stays together in the thick and thin, is ready to take a stand without prejudice & is caring for each other, is the strongest family. For me family defines a bond that is unshakable and is bound to each other. I believe family is what we look up to in times of need. A family that understands each other and has respect for other is a complete, happy & healthy family.

  • What is your favourite Idea of Holidaying?
  • For me the destination does not matter, the journey does; the location does not matter, the company does. I have spent the most memorable and ineffable time with my family and friends. The idea of holidaying for me simply means spending quality time with my family, and specially my one year old daughter. I am a fanatic about travelling; I love exploring new places and meeting new people. Travelling inspires me and instills a felling of freshness in me. I am passionate about travelling and a strict follower of the quote “Once a year go somewhere where you have never been before” as rightly said by Dalai Lama.

  • Why you are participating in Mrs India Earth?
  • According to me a woman is capable of doing anything and everything in this world. I believe this is a platform where I can make a contribution to the society. In simple words, this title would give my voice a name and stand. Wherever my voice has been shriveled down, I shall get a chance to stand up again and make an impact to the wrongdoers.

  • What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?
  • Our country is a developing nation where the youth play the most important part. But, being a developing nation it has its bad; I hate the way women are judged in today’s society. I think the change needs to begin from the roots, the difference between how a baby boy and baby girl is raised needs to be removed. Say, if a girl is wearing shorts, then the length of the shorts determines the character of the girl. Thus, such instances lead to further complications and never stop in a woman’s life. In a developing country like ours, I think we need to be very careful for what we sow.

  • The Quote or saying that encourages you?
  • “Winners don’t do different things, they do things differently” –Shiv Khera. I believe in innovating and developing myself every day. For e.g., I am very fond of packaging industry; I can easily make a simple gift look adorable with the help of unused material at my home.

  • What is true “Sportsmanship” for you?
  • “Certa Bonum Certamen” is a quote that I read from my husband’s old & beloved school uniform. This simply means - fight the good fight. Sportsmanship for me means that we need to take a step in when required and take a step out when necessary. According to me every fight need not be fought and every fight need not be won. Also, one should understand the strength of pushing oneself to the last limit and beyond when required.

  • If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
  • If selected as the charity ambassador, I wish to develop an enhanced system, where we shall select general locations such as; railway station and bus stations in each city. There we can create a free food for all campaign by the help of people of all income level. Where all needy and travelers can come, sit and eat fresh cooked food. A person contributing Rs. 500 can help feed 25 people. I believe that the platform of Mrs. India would help me spread this from one to millions.
