Finalist Detail 2017

Mrs. N Chokshi

  • Mumbai
  • A Brief about yourself and how you describe your own Personality and Persona.
  • A combination of z zealous attitude with an ability to multi task and constantly challenge myself is how I would describe my personality. A fun loving and caring mother coupled with a structured through professional in my work space is what defines my persona

  • Your Achievements that makes you feel high
  • I managed to enroll and complete my Masters in Business Administration program from one of the most renowned institutes of Mumbai almost a decade after I left professional college. It was during a time when I was working full time and I had just given birth to my beautiful baby girl. But I was determined to enroll and complete my studies despite all hardships. The second most achievement that I am proud of is to be able to stand in front of you and work towards a complete new facet of my profile and persona even at this age and stage of my life. Both these achievements give me a tremendous high.

  • Define the true beauty.
  • A warm and caring heart with an un conditional love is what defines true beauty. The moment there is no malice in your heart towards anyone and there are no expectations or conditions of our action, true beauty resonates automatically outwards. To be truly beautiful outside, you must be beautiful within.

  • What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?
  • Having a supportive partner to stand with you through thick and thin, through good times and bad is what makes a family healthy. And to share those achievements and happiness with your children and to instill that confidence in my child that nothing is impossible is what makes me happy.

  • What is your favourite Idea of Holidaying?
  • Spending quality time with my family with the sun, sand and sea by my side without unwarranted interruptions is my idea of a true holiday. The destination is not important, but strengthening the bond between my family is what defines a really great family holiday

  • Why you are participating in Mrs India Earth?
  • The need for constantly challenging myself to not only grow professionally but also personally is what drives me. The challenge to try the unexpected, to come out of my comfort zone and obviously to win and excel in something that I have not tried before is what gives me a high.

  • What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?
  • Even almost 70 years after Independence, women are yet to receive the societal status and strata equaling them to men in our country. Banking, Finance, Media, Entertainment & even Sports are just some of the many industries that are led by women at the helm. Chanda Kocher, Shikha Sharma, Geeta Phogat, PV Sindhu are just some examples of what the women of our country can do if just treated equally and given the status that they deserve. Being a mother of a 6 year old girl, this is what I aspire to see change for my daughters and all the millions of India’s daughters.

  • The Quote or saying that encourages you?
  • ‘Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tries anything new’. This is truly inspirational saying quoted by one of the greatest minds of the human race – Albert Einstein. I truly believe that If we do not embrace change and do not constantly challenge ourselves, we will never achieve greatness.

  • What is true “Sportsmanship” for you?
  • When we start recognizing, promoting and encouraging the “sport” and not the “sportsman”, is what will define true sportsmanship.

  • If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
  • One of the most basic and undervalued facility that is prevalent in our society is the lack of sanitization facility for women in public areas. Although the government has taken initiatives for the addition of public toilets, they are inadequate and lack the hygiene factors. Customized restrooms for women with clean hygienic facilities having free sanitary products (napkins, pads etc) and feeding areas for babies , baby friendly toilets is something that I would strongly advocate as an ambassador for any NGO. The not only need to happen but they have to happen in abundance across highways, city areas, public parks etc.
