Mrs. N Bhandari

  • Hyderabad
  • A Brief about yourself and how you describe your own Personality and Persona.
  • A Brief about yourself and how you describe your own Personality and Persona I am a study of contrasts. I am level headed in aspects that are important and demand attention and also have a carefree attitude to keep my adventurous side alive. I am non judgmental and therefore a close confidant to people who know me as I believe in giving strength and courage to others but at the same time am opinionated in matters that are close to my heart and I believe in, with conviction. I am a strict disciplinarian to my kids to ensure that they are brought up with the correct value system and at the same time I am swayed and infected by their child-like exuberance. The key to life for me is to live it with a smile and have faith in myself.

  • Your Achievements that makes you feel high
  • An Achievement for me is associated with the feeling of pride, things that I feel proud about. While this was a much tangible association earlier this sense has changed over time. Excelling in academics and topping in masters, recognition in performing arts, and recognition in creative arts are some of the things that I am extremely proud of. However after becoming a mother, my perspective of achievements has changed. Seeing my young kids make the correct choice between right and wrong, seeing them look out for their friends at this age, seeing that they have understood the meaning of sharing and their urge to want to share things with someone less privileged makes me feel extremely proud .

  • Define the true beauty.
  • I believe in the tenet that if you are able to make someone’s life beautiful you are beautiful. True beauty lies in being with someone in need, lifting them up if they are feeling down, helping them smile during their tough times in short making their lives beautiful when they really need it. If you are able to do that for others you are beautiful. Being born as a female is a matter of chance, being a woman is a matter of age but being a lady is a matter of choice. It is therefore important to have courage, strength and deeper understanding of things, to become e a beautiful person inside out.

  • What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?
  • A happy family consists of people who have long-term commitments to each other, share their goals and values. Each individual knows their own responsibilities and is able to bring peace and harmony in the home. Spending quality time is definitely one of the important levers to this as it helps to develop a bond amongst the family members. Communication is another key to build a strongrelationship; it’s vital that each member shares and honors each other’s opinion and have the faith that they can trust each other in better times or worse.

  • What is your favourite Idea of Holidaying?
  • As they say the tan my fade but the memories last forever, that is my idea of a perfect holiday, times that create memories. Memories may be created because of the place that we are holidaying in or the people that we are holidaying with or it may be because of either or a combination of both! Being someone who enjoys the simple things in life, a holiday in solitude, in the lap of nature with the people I love is my idea of a perfect holiday .

  • Why you are participating in Mrs India Earth?
  • I like the philosophy of the pageant, wherein not only are you evaluated on the basis of your individual characteristics, skill-sets and attributes but also that it acts as enabler for ways to contribute to a larger good at a social level. This pageant will give me the time for self discovery, meet like minded individuals, contribute to my individual growth and will provide a social podium where I can do my bit to spread awareness for the status of woman in the society.

  • What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?
  • At the risk of sounding pessimistic, there are various things that bother me about the country today. What bothers me most is the economic inequality, inspite of working hard people don’t get their dues, due to a variety of reasons. The divide between the haves and the haves not is widening which is worrying. This economic inequality is one of the reasons of increased crime rates. Secondly the status of women in society needs a lot of improvement. Crime rates against women are increasing, but what is even more worrisome is the average attitude towards this. While there has been developments and progress on some, it has been sporadic at best. There is a need to address each of the issues at a root cause level and the need to have a sustained engagement to actually make a change. This would need political, legislative and social will and action.

  • The Quote or saying that encourages you?
  • The quote which encourages me is ‘Don’t worry about failure, worry about the chances you miss when you don’t try.’ I truly believe in it, it’s important to take chances and do your best, face every challenge with full confidence and dedication, and leave the rest to the almighty. An action if successful fulfils what you aimed to achieve but even if you don’t succeed it is a learning that will definitely help you in future endeavors .

  • What is true “Sportsmanship” for you?
  • The essence of true sportsmanship for me is humbleness in winning and an acknowledgement that someone else was better in case you don’t. It is a great opportunity to understand which areas could be improved and what could be bettered and is a good avenue of personal development.

  • If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
  • The cause closest to my heart is education of the under-privileged. Education for me is the basic building block which can enable change in lives and should be the fundamental right of everyone, irrespective of the social strata to which someone belongs to. Unfortunately that is not the case and education is not accessible for many. I would like to work in this area and contribute towards creating a positive change in this regard.
