Finalist Detail 2017

Mrs. N Sharma

  • New Delhi
  • A Brief about yourself and how you describe your own Personality and Persona.
  • I am a goal oriented person. I always set goals for myself, both personal and professional, and work really hard to accomplish them. I believe that the true essence of life is to have a worthy purpose. I don't believe in living a whimsical life, because a purposeless life makes you unhappy, and an unhappy person can never be warm and loving.

  • Your Achievements that makes you feel high.
  • I was never a very studious child. I was also not considered conventionally 'good looking.' But I had my dreams and I was always passionate about making my mark. I fought tooth and nail to pursue my dream of becoming an air-hostess. It is easy for those who have achieved a lot in sought after fields like medicine, IT, etc, to get public approval and respect. I think they deserve it too! But what really bothers me is that people don't easily appreciate those who choose other (less popular) fields out of pure passion. I have a come a long way from convincing my parents who were not so kicked about my dream, to flying across the globe on my own merit. After my marriage, I joined my husband at work and today I am one of the Directors of Jupiter Apparel Pvt Ltd. I believe, my biggest achievement is that I have beaten all norms and followed my dreams with all that I have.

  • Define the true beauty.
  • Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. What I consider beautiful, someone else may not. But I believe there is nothing more pure and beautiful than to see your loved one smile at you. That brief moment shared between two people is what true beauty means to me.

  • What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?
  • Love and mutual respect. These are only two factors that help a relationship stand the test of time. When you love someone completely, you don't judge them for their mistakes, but you help them grow stronger. When you respect people, you make them feel comfortable. Once you build your relations on the foundation of love and respect, you undoubtedly create a healthy and happy atmosphere.

  • What is your favourite Idea of Holidaying?
  • I love visiting places that offer a mix of history, nature and modernization. But I will be happy to go anywhere as long as I get my space and time with my husband and my daughter.

  • Why you are participating in Mrs India Earth?
  • I have always aimed high and pushed myself out of my comfort zone. I did it when I was single, so why should I stop myself now. I believe that The Mrs India Earth beauty pageant is a great platform for all married women to put themselves out there and prove that marriage doesn't mean that you have to give up on your dreams. It would be an honor to be associated with such a progressive platform.

  • What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?
  • We are the second most populous country in the world. We don't have enough resources to give each and every citizen of our country a good quality of life. Poverty is a persistent issue, rivers are drying up, pollution is rising at an alarming rate, and instead of solving these problems that affect us all, people are turning against each other. The fact that very little is done to educate the citizens about respecting the environment bothers me a lot. We need help! Help in terms of awareness and provisions to execute beneficial ideas in a timely manner. We need to join hands and work towards making India a self sufficient progressive nation.

  • The Quote or saying that encourages you?
  • Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow know what you truly want to become. - Steve Jobs.

  • What is true “Sportsmanship” for you?
  • Being fair and respectful towards yourself and others, taking failures in your stride, and letting your victories speak for themselves.

  • If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
  • I believe knowledge is power. By knowledge, I don't mean mere certificates and degrees. I mean the real education about civic sense and human values. I have seen people with great education background misusing their gender power just because they think it is their birth right. Something is gravely wrong in the way some people are being brought up. It is hard to digest that in this day and age, we have stories of female infanticide, dowry deaths and misuse of laws in urban as well as rural families. I would like to focus on the young generation and educate them to be better human beings, so they can live a better adult life.
